Science Education Master's Program (M.S.)
Admission Requirements
- Secondary school teacher certification.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a science or a minimum of 24 undergraduate
units in science with course work in general chemistry, organic
chemistry, mathematics and physics.
- GPA of 3.00 in previous science course work and an overall GPA
of 3.00 is required for full admission. Students lacking key
prerequisites and/or having a GPA of 2.50-2.99 may be given conditional
admission. Any student admitted conditionally may be required
to make up deficiencies in prerequisites and/or achieve a GPA
of 3.00 in their first 9 graduate units taken at Towson University.
Send the following admission materials to the Graduate School
Office, Towson University, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252:
- Three letters of recommendation from instructors or supervisors.
- A one-page statement of intent.
- Secondary school teacher certification.
- Bachelor of Science degree in the biological sciences or a minimum
of 24 undergraduate units in biology with course work in general
chemistry, organic chemistry, mathematics and physics.
- GPA of 3.00 in previous biology course work and an overall GPA
of 3.00 is required for full admission.
- Meet all general admission requirements noted above.
